What I come across a lot in my field - Companies that have a website, and think that is all they need. It takes a lot more than just a website to be successful. I could go out right now and buy a basketball, but that doesn't mean that I can actually play basketball. Much like, just because you have a website, doesn't mean people are going to find it. When push comes to shove, marketing your website is almost more important than your website. You could have a not so hot website but have great marketing and still get great results. You cannot do it the other way around. The most gorgeous website in the world doesn't matter if no one ever views it. That is why internet marketing is key to a successful business.
